Abstract

Insomnia is a widespread psychological syndrome taking place among adolescents. Treatment approaches can be medical, such as pharmacologic therapy, including benzodiazepines and antidepressants, and nonmedical treatments, such as sleep restriction and cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I). Cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) is a first-line treatment approach for insomnia. However, as technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) develop, digital or internet-based CBT (d-CBT-I) has emerged, promising a potential solution. The article discusses the possible benefits of applying AI to treating insomnia, mainly saving time and money.
