ABSTRACT 

Domestic violenceis a significant issue worldwide: according to the National Center on DomesticViolence, domestic violence happens through the illegal employment of physical strength and control strategies to one’s partner, resulting in a range of trauma-associated physical and mental health issues for victims. According to recent studies, COVID-19 has increased the frequency of domestic violence: Compared with 2017-2019, the incidence of physical intimate partner violence (IPV) in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic was 1.8-fold higher. After the COVID-19 pandemic happened, domestic violence cases were largely overlooked compared to the pandemic recovery plans since domestic violence is a problem that governments never put their full effort into. Victims of domestic violence were largely overlooked compared to thepandemic recovery plans, so governments pay more less attention to protecting the victims. So we need to take domestic violence amid pandemic eras more seriously, and avoid it in the future. This paper will focus on the importance of focusing on the increase in domestic violence under pandemic; historical comparisons between COVID-19 and SARS 2003; reasons of increased cases of domestic violence; Solutions and conclusions.
